Redeemer began in 2003 as a church plant of Resurrection Presbyterian Church in Matthews (then called Matthews Orthodox Presbyterian Church). After two summer internships with Resurrection, our organizing Pastor was ordained and began worship services with a group from Matthews of about 40 folks. We are larger than that now but still a small congregation.

We have been blessed to help plant a church in Gastonia (Reformation OPC) and Kannapolis (Kannapolis OPC). We have known the joys of congregational life over those years: births and deaths, folks coming in and moving away. We have enjoyed the constancy of the Spirit and a deepening faith. We hope you will come and worship the Lord with us either as a passing visitor or someone seeking saving faith and a church home.
