"The Lord their God will care for them"
Zephaniah 2
Cliff Blair
Zephaniah speaks of the inevitability of divine judgment and the impossibility of escaping it through human means. He looks west to Philistia, east to Moab and Ammon, south to Ethiopia, or north to Assyria—but no earthly power can provide shelter from God’s wrath. Yet, amid the warnings, a glimmer of hope shines through: the promise of a remnant preserved by God’s grace. This remnant foreshadows the vast and diverse kingdom of Christ, encompassing people from every tribe and nation. The ultimate refuge is not found by fleeing from God but by running to him.
